The car industry in Britain has been growing healthily and stays well ahead of all other competitors from Europe.

Although most of the manufacturers are foreigners, the fact remains that the cars are made in Britain, which now exports to more than 150 countries worldwide. The car market is set to increase by about nine percent every year, which will elevate Britain to another level. Some of the outstanding British cars include:

Honda Civic

Built by the Japanese company Honda-based at Swindon, the Civic is a good-looking small family car. WhatCar Magazine praised the car for its sturdy body, a very big boot and for being the most reliable family car. In fact, this car was ranked second in terms of reliability, only behind Toyota Corolla. Honda, as a whole, was named as the most reliable manufacturer and had cars that required the least time in the repair garage. The price of this brand starts from £16,995.

Toyota Auris

This Japanese-owned brand is built in Burnaston and Derbyshire and was named the fifth most reliable family car by Warranty Direct. Toyota, as a manufacturer, was said to be the second most reliable manufacturer by Whatcar. Its roomy cabin allows it to house around five people comfortably.

Nissan Qashqai

This car is renowned all over the world for being a crossover vehicle on British roads. It is built in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, and is the seventh most purchased model. Due to its funky, reliable and comfortable make, those who have driven the car have described it as value for money.

It is owned by the US General Motors and is built at Ellesmere Port and Cheshire.

This is a German owned new generation car built in Oxford, Oxfordshire. It is described to have a smooth engine, stylish and fun to drive. The car is quite reliable.
